VASELJENA – Digital Repository of the University of East Sarajevo

https://vaseljena.ues.rs.ba/ (homepage: /home) represents the official institutional repository of the University of East Sarajevo named VASELJENA (UIS Vaseljena). The repository was established in 2023 by the University Computer Center and serves for long-term storage, systematic record-keeping and open access to research results of the university.

Main purposes and capabilities of the platform:

  • Centralized archive of scientific publications, papers, books, monographs, conference proceedings and other research results of all organizational units of the University
  • Open access to most content, enabling free download and use of papers by the wider academic and social community
  • Search by keywords, authors, titles, years, topics and other metadata
  • Browse by communities – organized by faculties, academies or types of publications (e.g. Scientific Papers, Conferences, Books)
  • Display of recently added papers with details: title, authors, date, abstract, affiliation and options for detailed view („Show more“)
  • Repository statistics (number of papers, downloads, etc.) available on a separate page (/statistics)
  • Support for different types of materials: scientific articles, conference proceedings, books, diploma/master/doctoral theses, etc.

The platform is intended for:

  • Scientific researchers and teaching staff of the University of East Sarajevo – for viewing and submitting their own publications

VASELJENA is a key part of the digital infrastructure of the University of East Sarajevo, connected with other services (eNIR, eUIS, etc.), and contributes to the promotion of open science, increasing the visibility of research and fulfilling the requirements for accreditation and evaluation of the quality of higher education.
