UIS Repository – Digital Repository of Doctoral Dissertations of University of East Sarajevo

https://repozitorijum.ues.rs.ba/ (homepage: /home) represents the official digital repository of University of East Sarajevo, specialized for doctoral dissertations. The repository was established based on the Rulebook on Digital Repository of Doctoral Dissertations (adopted by the Senate of the University) and serves as the central register for permanent storage of electronic versions of doctoral dissertations defended at the University.

Main purposes and capabilities of the platform:

  • Continuous submission and archiving of electronic versions of doctoral dissertations defended at the University of East Sarajevo (since adoption of the Rulebook, with the possibility of submitting older dissertations upon request).
  • Search and browsing of data by authors, titles, topics, dates of defense and other metadata.
  • Open access (open access) to dissertations and their metadata, in accordance with modern standards for dissemination of scientific publications.
  • Transfer of metadata to other systems (interoperability with international infrastructure).
  • Organization of content by communities and collections, with focus on doctoral dissertations by faculties/academies.
  • Public browsing without login (browsing by authors, dates, subjects, faculties).

The platform is a joint repository of all organizational units (faculties and academies) of the University of East Sarajevo. It is intended for researchers, doctoral candidates, teaching staff, librarians and wide academic and scientific community for searching and using doctoral works.

System Access

  • The homepage (/home) shows introductory description, communities and search/browse options.
  • Currently, the main community is: Doctoral Dissertations / Doctoral dissertations (with collections by faculties, e.g. Faculty of Philosophy, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Law, etc.).
  • Viewing and downloading are available without login (open access).
  • For submitting new dissertations: the procedure is regulated by the Rulebook – contact the library of the home faculty/academy (no self-registration on the site).

Difference compared to VASELJENA This repository (repozitorijum.ues.rs.ba) is specialized exclusively for doctoral dissertations, while VASELJENA (vaseljena.ues.rs.ba) is a broader institutional repository for all types of research results (scientific papers, books, conference papers, etc.), established in 2023.
